Hello, and welcome to Ilo

It took one visit to the Yakan Village for us (Manila-based Zamboangueños) to realize that these handmade masterpieces deserve to be appreciated beyond Mindanao.

The Yakans are one of the major indigenous groups from Basilan Island, with a great number now residing in Zamboanga City. We're here to support the families preserve their generations-long tradition of fine weaving.

Each loom is completed by one weaver who owns the design and colorway. The weaves take days to complete each piece.

Although we met the weavers in Zamboanga, majority of the products come from their respective barrios in Basilan.

Our carefully selected weaves travel by sea, air, and land. They literally come from the southernmost point of the Philippines before reaching your homes.
